The four selected works are located historically in a
period defined in architecture as the Mature Gothic (the 14th century)and Late Gothic phase (beginning in the 15th century).
The exhibition design plans to evoke the Gothic atmosphere
of an ideal cathedral, in which the masterpieces celebrating the three Nativities can appear as if suspended in their solemn Beauty.
The initial sculpture by Tino da Camaino "introduces" the theme of the
Charity by allowing one to glimpse - beyond its supporting base -
the semi-illuminated poetic and religious space behind it.
